Terrence Hardiman (6 April 1937[1]-8 May 2023[2]) played Hawthorne in the Doctor Who television story The Beast Below. He also voiced several characters for BBC Audio and Big Finish Productions.

He was previously considered for the role of Captain Stapley in Time-Flight. (TCH 35)

Career

Hardiman is perhaps best remembered as the eponymous character with otherworldly hypnotic powers in the 1990s children's drama series The Demon Headmaster (1996-98).

Personal life

He was married to fellow Big Finish actor Rowena Cooper.
