Joan of Arc, also known as Saint Joan, was a French military leader.

Biography

Behind the scenes

According to The Lords of Destiny background information for the 1985 Roleplaying Game, Joan was saved from being burnt at the stake by a passing Time Lord recognised as the Professor (identified as seperate from the Doctor). She is given statistics to be played as one of the companions in the adventure or otherwise, with the explanation of her not being able to go back due to her historical death, travelling with the Professor.
