On Trial was the third and final story in the Bernice Summerfield anthology A Life in Pieces. It was written by Joseph Lidster.

Summary

2645, Kristoffa Tailor wants to know the truth about Mark Morton's death, it drives him to obsession. He almost gives up but a chance meeting with Clare Marsh relights the spark. He discovers Bernice Summerfield's diary, but does he then believe the conspiracy that he finds, something that happens because of his own existence[statement unclear].
