Plot
Lucifer has returned to Earth, finding himself in a place called "Kingdom United". Recording a video, Lucifer explains he is searching for his friend Lilith, inanely mimicking a guy who told him to "find her" before being distracted by his inability to shave, caressing his wirey beard as he talks. He then talks about how his employers are forcing him to find his friend, so they "can stop a bunch of nonsense" else they will destroy Babylon, although he does initially begin to say Lilith's name. Lucifer then states that this will be a process he is "pretty sure" will destroy Lilith. He, regretfully, does not possess a photograph of Lilith, which he would have liked to show his audience, admitting that he "didn't think about it." Then, a smaller "dude" in a green and grey sweatshirt, jeans, rucksack, and a ponytail walks past him, crossing the road without looking either direction.
Lucifer, later in editing his video, pauses it to talk about "the dude", inexplicably being able to shoot a close up segment of footage of him talking on his smart phone near a white van, perplexed by the presence of this individual. After the man finishes staring at him and walks off, Lucifer then concludes his digression by stating "back to the videoooo!"
Lucifer, contradicting himself, then asserts Lilith can't die, before going on to speak about how he doesn't "go around the universe taking pictures of everyone [he meets], or whatnot." Beginning to finally wrap up his video, he states that he doesn't want either Lilith or Babylon to die, musing that if he finds Lilith first, he may be able to help her. Finally, he concludes that he has a lead on a cult so he plans to go find her.
Cast
Characters
Worldbuilding
- Lucifer's imitation of "the guy" includes the claim that Lilith is going to "ruin" the universe.
- Lucifer appears to resemble a normal human, by wearing a brown parka and black hat.
- An Amazon Prime van drives past Lucifer at the end of his video.
Notes
- As Lucifer is shown to travel in Babylon in other sources not covered by this Wiki, it is therefore unclear how Lucifer travelled to Earth if Babylon was being held hostage.
- This story was marketed as the seventh instalment in the Hellscape series. This, however, makes little sense for two reasons: the first is that this was officially the seventh release in the second series of Hellscape, however only two other stories had been previously released in said series; secondly, this story wasn't even the seventh release overall, it was the ninth release.
Production errors
- This web video evidently had a small budget, leading to a large number of production errors. The video seems to have been edited on TikTok itself, with Spencer being clearly edited into the video with the green-screen tool as the perspective and lighting does not match the background. Spencer himself makes a number of errors with his dialogue, going to say one thing before correcting himself; the audio is also muffled, as well as including music that drowns out the audio track. The wide-screen aspect ratio has also been placed within two letterboxes to fit the portrait video profile of TikTok. There is also a goof with the shot continuity, as in the close-up shot of Giles he begins to walk before it cuts back to the long-shot, but in said long-shot Giles is still standing still.
Continuity
- Lucifer and Babylon debuted in the audio story Lucifer [+]Loading...["Lucifer (audio story)"], although their subsequent appearances are not covered on this Wiki due to a lack of license to any DWU concepts.
- Giles debuted in the 2015 P.R.O.B.E. film When to Die [+]Loading...["When to Die (home video)"], going on to become the main character of the P.R.O.B.E. series in years to come.
