Stooky Bill was a puppet created by the Toymaker. He had human hair, with the Toymaker claiming he cut it off himself from a "very beautiful lady" who would not be missing it. Bill's image was the first ever broadcast on television by John Logie Baird, who used the puppet in an experiment to prove his invention worked.
History
In 1925, the Toymaker sold Stooky Bill to Baird's assistant, Charles Babbage, for the television experiment, which caused Bill to catch fire, in a sense "killing" him. He was survived by his wife, Stooky Sue, and their three Stooky Babbies.
Stooky Bill's face and giggle was embedded by the Toymaker in every screen on Earth until internet access became global in 2023, which he used to cause the Giggle. (TV: The Giggle [+]Loading...["The Giggle (TV story)"])
