History of Doctor Who
- 1968 - "The Wheel in Space," Episode 3 is first broadcast.
- 1974 - "Planet of the Spiders," Episode 2 is first broadcast.
- 2001 - Douglas Adams dies from a heart attack in California. Adams wrote the stories, "The Pirate Planet" and "Shada," and co-wrote "City of Death" with producer Graham Williams under the pseudonym David Fisher. He also served as script editor for Season 17.
