The local group was a galaxy group containing the Milky Way, Andromeda and the Magellanic Clouds.
It was destroyed circa 60,000,000,000 AD by the Grandfather's Maw after it had swallowed the Hydra-Centaurus Supercluster. (PROSE: The Brakespeare Voyage)
