Combat boots were boots designed to be worn by soldiers.
The War Doctor wore combat boots in black or brown; (COMIC: The Clockwise War, The Whole Thing's Bananas, Four Doctors; PROSE: Engines of War; TV: The Name of the Doctor) up to his death after the 1562/2013 Zygon Invasion of Earth and the Fall of Gallifrey. (TV: The Day of the Doctor)
Galloway mistakes footsteps for noises made by a rodent, to which Quartermaster Sergeant Stien sceptically points out the fact they were made by combat boots. (TV: Resurrection of the Daleks)
