Fond Memories was a Brief Encounter short story published in DWMS Holiday 1992. Notably, it was written by Nicholas Courtney, who played Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart.
Plot[[edit] | [edit source]]
Sarah Jane Smith and Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart meet up in Geneva, where they talk about old times. When the pair have dinner together in a local hotel, they are surprised when part of the evening's entertainment turns out to be John Benton who, it would appear, has swapped the life of a second-hand car salesman for that of a stand-up comedian. The next act is to be a magician, Benton informs Sarah and the Brigadier, and that the pair will be even more surprised when they find out who it is...
