Andrew Corson created seven replica Dalek casings in Australia between 1987 and 2012. This formed the basis of his company Canberra Daleks & Robots, later rebranded as Retro Universal Robots, which hired out these and other props for events and production.

In 2005, he was contacted by BBC Worldwide to supply four Daleks, and their operation, to the production of a narrative advertisement for ANZ Bank, also featuring the B9 Robot from Lost in Space, the John Robot from Planeta Bur, and a number of original robot designs supplied by Studio Kite. As part of this production, Corson acted as the Dalek operator for the Grey Dalek and the Gold Dalek.
