When the Master was initiated as a Time Lord, he was brought to the Untempered Schism by three Time Lords wearing this symbol on their collars. (TV: The Sound of Drums [+]Loading...["The Sound of Drums (TV story)"])
In the final days of the Time War, the High Council wore this symbol on their collars and Rassilon wore his medallion with it on. The backs of their chairs had oval-shaped versions of the seal. (TV: The End of Time [+]Loading...["The End of Time (TV story)"])
By the Coming of the Hybrid, this seal was less present on Gallifrey, with Rassilon wearing a collar with the Seal of Rassilon. However, this seal was worn on the collars of the six Time Lords who were sent by Rassilon to the Doctor's barn to bring him to the Capitol. The High Council still used chairs with this symbol. It also appeared on the old collars of the Cloister Wraiths. (TV: Hell Bent [+]Loading...["Hell Bent (TV story)"])
The Twelfth Doctor once contacted the Twelfth General using a Hypercube with this seal on it. (COMIC: The Clockwise War [+]Loading...["The Clockwise War (comic story)"])
Other instances[[edit] | [edit source]]
This symbol appeared throughout the interior of the Cyber-ship which became lodged in the Arctic Circle's distant past after being caught in a temporal storm. The clearest instances of it were in Cyber-Lord's throne room and the conversion room where Amy Pond was nearly converted, but it also appeared repeated in panels along the walls of the inner hallways. (GAME: Blood of the Cybermen [+]Loading...["Blood of the Cybermen (video game)"])
Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]
- This seal was designed to create a Time Lord symbol more visually in-line with the modern series' Gallifreyan than the Seal of Rassilon was. The shape of its inner circles replicates the general shape of a Time Lord collar.[1]
