Miracle on 34th Street

Miracle on 34th Street was a film that Shona McCullough had watched on DVD as part of her Christmas Day itinerary, before being bitten by a dream crab and being sent into a shared dream (TV: Last Christmas) that included a depiction of Santa said to be based on that in the film. (PROSE: Ian the Elf)

Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

In the real world, two theatrical films and two television movies are called Miracle on 34th Street, from 1947, 1955, 1973 and 1994, respectively. Last Christmas does not make it clear which of these Shona had watched.

Simon Jones appeared in the 1994 version.

Reportedly, the pair of glasses Nick Frost wore when playing Santa in the aforementioned episode were the same pair that Richard Attenborough wore in the 1994 version. According to Frost; "The costume guy just had them, I don't even know if he worked on the film or not".[1]
