Brian Briggs was the brother of Samantha Briggs.

In 1966, Brian disappeared after going on a Chameleon Tours flight to Rome. His sister Samantha had received a postcard from him, posted in Rome, but when she tried to contact Brian by telephone at the hotel where he was supposed to be staying, the operator said the hotel didn't exist.
After the police in Rome were unable to find any trace of Brian, Samantha travelled from her home in Liverpool to Gatwick Airport to investigate. (TV: The Faceless Ones)
