A Deme was a subdivision of a population. In the City of the Saved individuals were placed in demes following Resurrection Day. Akroates, Sophia, Moody, Brianna, Inigo, Lazarus and Jane were all part of the same deme. (PROSE: Akroates [+]Loading...["Akroates (short story)"], et al.)
