Akroates

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

Akroates was a member of a group of posthumans who resembled cyclopses. In the City of the Saved, he was the owner of The World Turned Upside Down.

History[[edit] | [edit source]]

Akroates was abandoned by his mother at a young age and sent to live as a shepherd. He met very few people while tending to his sheep. He died of disease while he was still quite young.

Akroates was amazed by the diversity of the City of the Saved when he was resurrected. He was reborn at 67 Armistice Street in Calafia District. He took on a familial relationship with the six other people who were reborn at 67: Terrence Moody, Sophia Maitland, Inigo Faber, Lazarus, Brianna ap t'Erapi, and Jane Dick; most of them left Armistice Street shortly after resurrection while still remaining somewhat in touch with Akroates, but Jane - being a six-week-old baby - remained in Akroates' care for some time. (PROSE: Akroates) Akroates eventually contacted a group of Century Azure posthumans to modify Jane so that she could live independently in the City. (PROSE: About a Girl)

Akroates never moved away from Armistice Street. As Calafia evolved into an area popular for leisure, Akroates renovated 67 Armistice into The World Turned Upside Down, a popular pub which welcomed customers of all genetic types. Akroates was The World's owner and bartender. (PROSE: Apocalypse Day)

In AF 250, Kurt Cobain wondered if Jane Dick would take him to meet Akroates. (PROSE: About a Girl)

In AF 300, at the very end of the City of the Saved Civil War, when the Anonymity began its spread, Akroates' deme family gathered at The World to see each other one last time. (PROSE: Apocalypse Day) They were all swallowed by the Anonymity, but then re-resurrected in the second City of the Saved. (PROSE: God Encompasses)
