On 20 July, the following important behind-the-scenes events were known to have occurred:
- 1976 - Studio filming for The Hand of Fear took place at BBC Television Centre studio 8. (REF: Doctor Who The Handbook: The Fourth Doctor)
- 1983 - Location filming for The Awakening took place. (REF: Doctor Who The Handbook: The Fifth Doctor)
- 1984 - Studio filming for Vengeance on Varos took place at BBC Television Centre studio 6. (REF: Doctor Who The Handbook: The Sixth Doctor)
- 2005 - Rewrites for The Christmas Invasion and New Earth known as "pink revisions" were made. These applied to the scenes with Harriet Jones' press conference, the taxi returning Rose Tyler and Mickey Smith to the Powell Estate, Harriet being brought aboard the Sycorax spaceship, the Tenth Doctor asking Rose how he looks, the newly-regenerated Doctor asking what kind of character he is, the Doctor's challenge to the Sycorax leader and the scene of Cassandra watching a home movie of her younger self. - 2010 - The Big Finish audio story Industrial Evolution was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2017 - Big Finish's The New Counter-Measures story The Hollow King was recorded at the Moat Studios.
- 2022
- Composer Segun Akinola announced on his social media platforms that he would be leaving Doctor Who after production of The Power of the Doctor.[1]
- Big Finish's Rani Takes on the World audio anthology Beyond Bannerman Road was recorded at the Soundhouse.
