The Cirranin were an ancient species that looked something like manatees, though smaller and with arms instead of fins. They had hearts and tear-ducts. Only one Cirranin remained alive.

Unfortunately, while Hr'oln was exploring space, her home planet broke out into war and was eventually destroyed.
