On 4 March 2010, the BBC announced that it had officially commissioned both a 4th and 5th series of the spin-off.[1] Part of Series 5 was filmed in 2010 alongside Series 4[2] and it was later announced that half the series had been completed as planned.[3] With the death of Elisabeth Sladen in April 2011[4] , the BBC announced that no new episodes will be made[5].


It is expected to air on CBBC sometime in 2011.

The series will be made up of 3 full episodes, all being two-parters. The series is expected to air on CBBC sometime throughout October. Luke Smith will make an appearance in episode three.
