Logic would dictate that an 81-year old woman, born in 1930, would currently be alive in the year 2011. Which would suggest Ianto is still alive in that same year. Writer's error? Or do the Lost Files take place in a reality different from Children of Earth/Miracle Day?

Setting Date

There's an interesting bit in the radio play regarding the date in which it takes place. Two lines from the transscript:

  • Ianto: "Joanna Carew. Born 1930, Newport."
  • (Later...)
  • Gwen: "I've just been running around a sport's field with an 81-year old woman (...)"

Logic would dictate that an 81-year old woman, born in 1930, would currently be alive in the year 2011. Which would suggest Ianto is still alive in that same year. Writer's error? Or do the Lost Files take place in a reality different from Children of Earth/Miracle Day?

Probably just an error - the writers forgot that it doesn't take place in the present day. Ausir(talk) <staff/> 14:27, July 12, 2011 (UTC)
