Malcolm James (visual effects) was a former child actor who eventually switched to the other side of the camera and became a visual effects designer. One of his first credits as a VED was on Ghost Light. Prior to this, he had worked on episodes of Chris Boucher's Star Cops directed by Graeme Harper. He went on to have an active career for a few years thereafter and was credited sporadically until about 2001.
