Lord Geoffrey de Beauvain was a feudal leader in medieval England. After returning home from the Crusades, he was usurped by his brother Waldean, who had Signus place him under a deep hypnotic trance. The Third Doctor revived Geoffrey, then helped him resist Signus' illusions while Haval retrieved help from the King. Upon Waldean's death, Geoffrey was reinstated as Lord. (TVC: The Magician)
