Episode pages

Now that we have had some of the titles confirmed, can we start creating the pages for series six episodes? --| Who is Dr. Who? 13:03, March 24, 2011 (UTC)

I've tried. I was trying to start making an episode page for "The Impossible Planet", but it said it couldn't be made... TheTARDIScontroller 04:04, March 26, 2011 (UTC)
Well, you won't be able to create "The Impossible Planet" because that already exists. But no, the pages shouldn't be created yet, even if we do have titles. There's still weeks left, and in that time all we'll get is a load of people adding in rumours or vandalising, plus red links then going off, creating character pages that will need to be changed because the character's name in the show is different to the reported one, and those pages could have rumours or be vandalised as well, not to mention they would all be spoiler articles, and with spoilers being something we try to keep out of the central hub of the wiki, wouldn't be a good idea. --The Thirteenth Doctor 22:23, March 28, 2011 (UTC)
Gotcha...so at what point do we create the pages? | Who is Dr. Who? 13:59, March 30, 2011 (UTC)
I think we should make the pages around two weeks before the episode airs because it allows enough time for the correct info to be put on and little time for people to put vandilism on the pages. Alpha111 12:54, March 31, 2011 (UTC)
Sorry, I meant The Impossible Astronaut.. And that makes sense.. TheTARDIScontroller 22:39, March 28, 2011 (UTC)

Now that there is a page for The Impossible Astronaut, can we link to it from the series page? -- Rest In Peace Sarah Jane \ Talk to me! 18:25, April 21, 2011 (UTC)

Susanne Jones as the Doctor's wife?

It says under casting notes that the character of Idris in The Doctor's Wife will play the Doctor's wife. This statement needs to be removed immediately as it has no basis in fact at all. For one thing, the source it states I have looked at, and all it is is an article reporting on the naming of Gaiman's episode, and pointing out that Susanne Jones (playing Idris) has been speculated to be playing the Doctor's wife, and this now looks likely. There is no official confirmation at all.
Furthermore, the statement says that the character of Idris (not Susanna Jones, who plays her) will be playing the Doctor's wife "co-incidentally" (what is that suppoosed to mean!?) but the reference says the actress. Please, someone delete or change this. 82.42.249.145 20:36, March 28, 2011 (UTC)

I've removed it, but somebody keeps adding it back in. Maybe we should consider protecting the article again? | Who is Dr. Who? 19:50, March 30, 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for trying :-) Who keeps putting this back in! It has been clearly pointed out that the source is not valid as it doesn't back up the statement, and even the statement itself gets the character Idris mixed up with the actress! Can someone make sure that this doesn't keep getting added back in? Or, at least, change it so it makes more sense, and move it to the rumours section (as there is no confirmation that Idris is the Doctor's Wife). 82.42.249.145 14:40, April 5, 2011 (UTC)

Paul McGann as the Ninth Doctor

Really? Come on. I'm not removing it as it will just be reverted. Can someone please take care of this? Can we do something about all the baseless rumors being posted on this page? | Who is Dr. Who? 23:40, March 30, 2011 (UTC)

Don't you mean Eighth Doctor? I added that rumor and its not made up completely, it has a source. Anyway, what is your explanation for the Tenth Doctor's TARDIS appearing in the series 6 trailer? Looks like a regeneration happening to me and I its either the Eight Doctor regenerating or the Tenth regenerating. I don't think its the Ninth regenerating. Gryffindor1991 16:54, April 1, 2011 (UTC)

Please look at the history. It said ninth doctor. Somebody fixed it, just like I asked. Thank you. Who is Dr. Who? \ Talk 17:44, April 1, 2011 (UTC)
Well I must have just made a typo and said Ninth. At least its fixed now, sorry about that. I understand what you mean. McGann as the Ninth Doctor? That would make no sense. Gryffindor1991 05:15, April 3, 2011 (UTC)

This link: [1] shows that no doctors will be returning in this series. Would that not prove the rumor false? Can that be annotated on the page? -- Rest In Peace Sarah Jane \ Talk to me! 14:42, April 20, 2011 (UTC)

tenth doc's tardis

it could be possible that it isn't the ninth/tenth's tardis but just another room in the current tardis.

You can see the TARDIS console, so it is definetly a console room. Since the Eleventh Hour strongly implied that the Eleventh Doctor's console room is the same room as the Ninth and Tenth, but repaired after the explosion, then the room in the trailer is the Ninth and Tenth Doctor's TARDIS, unless there are 2 identical rooms in the TARDIS.Icecreamdif 18:42, April 3, 2011 (UTC)

It could be the secondary control room. TF - Supreme in every way 19:43, April 4, 2011 (UTC)

...It could also be the control room of the cloned TARDIS. --Bold Clone 20:18, April 4, 2011 (UTC)

Moffat placed a line in Time Crash where the console room had a "desktop theme", its likely the theme just gets set back to "coral" from the current steampunk version. --Revan\Talk 20:23, April 4, 2011 (UTC)

Karen Gillian was on The Paul O Grady show tonight, she just confirmed that we will see the tenth doctors control room. I havent edited anything just so that other members & admin who saw the interview who wish to check on youtube/itv player.Ximodnic 20:57, May 6, 2011 (UTC)

Adolf Hitler?

There is a rumore that says Adolf Hilter will be in series 6, but there is no source...shouldn't that be rmoved? I cannot edit the page for some reason. Can someone help? -- Rest In Peace Sarah Jane \ Talk to me! 14:29, April 20, 2011 (UTC)

NVM, somebody added a reference... Thanks! -- Rest In Peace Sarah Jane \ Talk to me! 14:46, April 20, 2011 (UTC)
Is it correct that episode 8 is called 'Lets kill Hitler' or is someone vandilising the page? It's just that I can't see an episode being called this. (;,;) 11:01, June 2, 2011 (UTC)
Never mind, found the link. (;,;) 11:06, June 2, 2011 (UTC)
It is called that. It sys so at the end of "A Good Man Goes To War"Owlish 08:59, August 8, 2011 (UTC)

Make Page for Doctor's Wife

Can we make a page for the episode "The Doctor's Wife" cause it's coming up soon and it seems important! I mean it's the first epsiode of anything to be listed and have a synopisis two weeks before it airs on the Verizon Fios Guide which states "The Doctor recieves a Distress signal from a old friend trapped in a bubble universe and the possibility of another living time lord." and one the quote isn't exact but it seems to imply rose and MC10 so I think that should be enough to make a page! 173.51.78.230 02:43, May 3, 2011 (UTC)

  • It's definitely not Rose and MC10. It's already been stated that it has something to do with The War Games and it's a bubble universe, not a parallel universe like the one Rose is in. Idris is someone from the Doctor's past, and from the hints it seems she's a regenerated Time Lady, so it's safe to say it's not Rose due to the fact that Rose is human. It could be said that the thing to do with The War Games is the Time Lord Emergency Signal, which was used in that story. My theory is that since it's been said that Idris is crazy (hopefully not a spoiler since it's been on magazines and news blogs) that perhaps these people on the junkyard planet and the Time Lord voices the Doctor hears are Time Lords who escaped from the Great Time War and lost their minds, similar to how Dalek Caan did when he went to save Davros and the daleks. It's always difficult to predict Doctor Who, but I think it's safe to say it's not Rose and MC10. Rawrgoaway 11:03, May 6, 2011 (UTC)

The page will not be made until a week before broadcast, as its the policy of the wikia. --Revan\Talk 11:11, May 6, 2011 (UTC)

Hang On........

If old Avery and Jnr. are in AGMGTW and that TCBS was in the autumn half originally would that mean the Doctor doesn't know him or did he have a introductory scene thats edited out, what do you think???Josho 08:36, June 1, 2011 (UTC)

Seems like they were moved around before filming started which allowed the Averys to be used in AGMGTW.Zodisgod 18:55, June 5, 2011 (UTC)

The Table on the page is incorrect. Ep3 was never in the Fall half. It was episodes 4 and 9 that were swapped. The order in the Spring half may have been adjusted as well, but TCBS was supposed to be in the Spring all along. 152.131.9.132 20:58, July 18, 2011 (UTC)

No, Black Spot was originally Episode Nine, with Night Terrors being Episode Four and The Doctor's Wife being Episode Three. Terrors was moved to Episode Nine, and Black Spot was placed as Episode Three, shifting Wife back a week. The table is perfectly correct (which can't be said for the rest of the page. There are some inaccuracies, such as the Rumours section). D0ct0r11

Aug. 27

Zap2it.com's live blog of the ComicCon panel for Doctor Who just reported that BBC America begins airing the second half on Aug. 27, 2011.[2] 68.146.71.145 20:39, July 24, 2011 (UTC) wren

Rumours

I have removed the following rumours:

  • Matt Smith will leave after the 2011 series [3], a rumour picked up by several other media sources. [4][5]
    • This has been denied by Matt Smith and Karen Gillan[6][7]
    • Another BBC insider said that Smith will stay until the 50th anniversary of the show, in 2013.
    • In a newspaper it was revealed Matt Smith has stated he would continue for at least two more years to try and become one of the fan's favourite doctors.[8]
  • Karen Gillan is leaving the series.[9]
    • Matt Smith has denied the rumours that Amy will die, or that Karen is leaving.[10]
    • However, the rumours have resurfaced after Matt Smith gave an interview for Big Issue, which hinted at her departure[11]

They will be kept here, along with source encase we ever need them again in future.

  • Please sign your posts. I think the rumors of their departure need to be included, since they are reported by media, as were the rebuttals, with Smith and Gillan both quoted in media as saying they're staying on. 68.146.71.145 17:58, August 1, 2011 (UTC)

Requested edits

  • In the "Story Notes" section the last item mentions the rumor of there being no classic monsters being proven false because of the reports of Cybermats in a later episodes. In fact it was proven false with the appearance of the Cybermen and Silurians in A Good Man Goes to War. And under the last item of "Episode notes", Space Channel in Canada has now also confirmed a start date of Aug. 27 for the second half. 68.146.71.145 17:58, August 1, 2011 (UTC)

Prequels section

There should be a section listing the prequels, especially now that the one starring Matt Smith and Karen Gillan promoting Let's Kill Hitler has been released. 68.146.71.145 15:18, August 15, 2011 (UTC)

Date

Someone had put the 27th of September rather than the 27th of August. Could someone please change it. Thanks 78.105.95.95 09:10, August 18, 2011 (UTC)
