The logo of long running british sci-fi television show Doctor Who is known to change from season to season. Each Logo is very different, and with the revival of the show in 2005, a new logo was introduced.
Logo One
Used from 1963 to 1966
The First Doctor's logo was a simple text, white on a black background, it was simple due to the low budget that Doctor Who was originally on, for more information on the first season see article; The First Doctor
Logo Two
Used from 1966–1969
As Patrick Troughton took over, the logo's text changed to Times new roman, Though it remain white on a black background. This was again simple owing to low budget, although as the show began to grow in poularity, the budget grew. See article: Second Doctor
Logo Three
used from 1970–1974
When Jon Pertwee began his term as The doctor, the logo changed drastically for the first time, colour was introduced, (mainly because the show changed from black and white to colour) and the text was once again altered. By this time the budget was high enough for better graphics. See article: Third Doctor
Logo Four
used from 1974–1981
The Fourth Doctor's logo is the one that is still remembered today, and can still be found on merchandising. It incorporates a diamond shape into the equation. See article: Fourth Doctor
Logo Five
used from 1981–1984
The Fifth Doctor's logo was again changed, this time into a neon light style fashion, This time ridding itself of the diamond that so many remember. See article: Fifth Doctor
Logo Six
used from 1984–1986
This logo was the same as the Fifth, But the colour was chnaged from blue to Purple. See article: Sixth Doctor
Logo Seven
used from 1987–1996
Computer technology was ever advancing, and this more High-tech style logo was all the range for the Seventh Doctor. See Article: Seventh Doctor
Logo Eight
used in 1996
The eighth Logo is in large, Bold print and is known to appear in several colours, Including Blue, Black, and Gold. For more information on the eighth doctor see article: Eighth Doctor
Logo Nine
used from 2005-?
The Ninth Doctor and Tenth Doctor share a logo, it is possible that the new Doctor Who Production intend this to be the permanent logo from now on.
