Survivor's guilt was the mental condition that resulted from the appraisal that a person had done wrong by surviving traumatic events, such as combat or disasters. The effect of survivor's guilt depended on the individual person’s own psychological make-up.
Apparent sufferers included Bernice Summerfield (NA: Love and War) and the Doctor's Ninth incarnation. (DW: Dalek) Ironically, the Eighth Doctor had insisted that he was psychologically incapable of experiencing such a thing after Marnal insisted he had survivor's guilt due to the Time Lords being wiped out during the Second War in Heaven. (EDA: The Gallifrey Chronicles)
