The third season of Doctor Who ran between 11th September 1965 and 16th July 1966. William Hartnell continued as the Doctor. Steven Taylor and Dodo Chaplet featured as the companions, with Vicki leaving in The Myth Makers. Katarina and Sara Kingdom featured, with Ben Jackson and Polly being introduced in The War Machines. Mission to the Unknown became the first (and to date only) episode not to feature the Doctor or his companions.
