The Spike Room was a room on board Satellite Five in year 200,000, during the Fourth Great and Bountiful Human Empire.

Journalists including Cathica Santini Khadeni and Suki Macrae Cantrell would get infospike technology inserted into their brains, enabling them to use the Spike Rooms in order to collect information about the Empire.

Adam Mitchell received one of these operations from a Nurse on Floor 16. He misused the spike and the Editor was able to read his thoughts about the Ninth Doctor and Rose Tyler from Floor 500. Cathica immediately realised what was going on and rushed to the nearest Spike Room to override Adam's thoughts, blocking the Editor. (DW: The Long Game)
