Malcolm James (visual effects) was a former child actor who switched to the other side of the camera and became a visual effects designer. One of his first credits as a VED was on Ghost Light. Before this, he had worked on episodes of Chris Boucher's Star Cops directed by Graeme Harper. He had an active career for a few years thereafter and was credited sporadically until about 2001.
