Vivien Rook was a freelance agent for the Torchwood Institute, studying the mysterious Harold Saxon for the Institude. She turned up at 10 Downing Street in April 2008 claiming to be a reporter for The Sunday Mirror and she requested an interview with Lucy Saxon. She told Lucy the truth about Mr Saxon's true life, explaining he was only in existence since Harriet Jones's downfall. However, Mr Saxon had already told Lucy about his true identity and intentions, and so Mr Saxon came in and ordered a quartet of Toclafane to mutilate her. (DW: The Sound of Drums)
