• 17 - Disneyland opens for the first time in Anaheim, California. A extravagant amusement park created by motion picture mogul Walt Disney, Disneyland would become the world's premiere amusement park for decades to come, even attracting visitors from other worlds and other times, such as a group of tourists who intended to travel back in time to 1959 to visit the place.
