Cambridge was a city in south-east England. It was perhaps best known for being the location of the University of Cambridge, where professors included the Doctor's companions Ian Chesterton, Barbara Wright and Liz Shaw, and the Time Lord Professor Chronotis.

Cambridge was located in the south-east of England. To the far north-east of Cambridge was Norwich and to the west was Birmingham.
