- Half of Mutter's Spiral has fallen to the Thalek Empire, whose war cry is "Annihilate!". They also are capable of teleportation due to transmat systems wired in their casings. Some of them are even capable of falling in love, as one Thalek was devoted to a woman who resembled a Thal.

- Geoffrey Bayldon (The Doctor) was considered for the roles of both the First and Second Doctors in the 1960s. He played Organon in DW: The Creature from the Pit.
- Derren Nesbitt (Quences) previously played Tegana in DW: Marco Polo and Thomas Dodd in BFA: Spare Parts.
- Nicholas Briggs would play the Gold Usher in the main DWU continuity in BFG: Pandora and BFG: Imperiatrix.
