Professor Kyle was a Human Geologist from Earth who was the last survivor after her expedition was wiped out by the Cybermen's androids. After escaping from the cave, she alerted the authorities to order a squad of troops to search for bodies. When Scott and his troops came along to search the caves, she volunteered to go with them. A short while later, Walters picked up a pandimensional creature; aka The Doctor, leading Kyle to speculate that he had killed her crew. When they found him, Kyle found her assistant's coat with a slimy residue on it, which The Doctor realized was the assistant's remains. When Nyssa found a door on one of the rocks, two Androids emerged and attacked the group. When Scott blew up one Android and the troops blew up the other, The Doctor opened the door and found a Cyber-bomb hidden there ready to explode, so he told Tegan Jovanka to divert everyone to the TARDIS. When they got there Kyle found it outstanding that it was bigger on the inside. After The Doctor and Adric deactivated the Cyber-bomb, Scott and Kyle insisted on accompanying The Doctor to find the source of the attack. Arriving shortly at a massive Spacecraft The Doctor and Adric went to investigate while everyone else stayed in the TARDIS. After waiting some time for The Doctor to return, Scott and his troops decided to search for him, accompanied by Tegan Jovanka, who borrowed Kyle's overalls to be more suitably dressed for any possible action. Kyle remained behind on the TARDIS with Nyssa. When the troops returned, they were attacked by two Cybermen who forced their way into the TARDIS. After the first Cyberman was destroyed by the troops' concentrated fire, Kyle attempted to protect Nyssa by grabbing the fallen Cyber-gun and aiming it at the second Cyberman, but before she could fire, the Cyberman shot her in the chest, killing her instantly.

Dishounor

After she went to the army troops for assistance, the leader Scott thought that she was lying and ordered her execution under Protocol 3, so even if she had survived the Cyberman's attack, she still would have been executed.
