The TARDIS kitchen was a kitchen in the Doctor's TARDIS. The food machine was usually located there, (PROSE: The Room With No Doors) although it was known to "wander" the corridors. (PROSE: Christmas on a Rational Planet) Food machines quickly became obsolete in TARDISes, and were replaced by full kitchens. (TV: Shada, WC: Shada)

Sam Jones told the Doctor's other companion Fitz Kreiner that the TARDIS didn't have a kitchen, just a food machine. Fitz, who preferred making meals himself, found a kitchen, but wasn't sure whether Sam simply hadn't known about it, or if it had been created for him. (PROSE: Autumn Mist)

By the time of the Sixth Doctor, his ship did include a full kitchen; Evelyn Smythe used it multiple times to make breakfast. She noted that the room automatically restocked itself: there were always exactly six eggs, a fresh pint of milk and freshly baked bread in the kitchen every morning. (AUDIO: Project: Lazarus)

The Eleventh Doctor pointed out its location in his TARDIS to Captain Henry Avery. (TV: The Curse of the Black Spot) Amy Pond used the kitchen to make dinner for herself, the Doctor and Rory. (COMIC: Sticks and Stones) Clara Oswin Oswald later asked him whether or not the TARDIS had a kitchen, where she wished to bake soufflés. The Eleventh Doctor claimed this to be the first time he was asked this. (TV: The Snowmen)
