In an alternative timeline, Petrov was a general in the Russian military offices. He was the man who pressed the button which set off the nuclear missiles that were targeted at the United Kingdom on 9 November 1989. The Seventh Doctor tried to stop him. (AUDIO: Protect and Survive)
