This Doctor met the Master on the planet Tersurus to announce his retirement from universe saving to settle down in domestic bliss with his companion Emma. After being captured by the Daleks he was hit by a Dalek energy beam and regenerated into the Tenth Doctor. (DW: The Curse of the Fatal Death)
