Companion

I think Courtney might need to be categorized as a companion of the Twelfth Doctor, as we see her travelling with him at the end of The Caretaker (we don't know for how long). And that is even beyond her announced involvement in other episodes (being intentionally vague to avoid violating spoiler policy. considering how unlikely it is that a british schoolgirl would meet the natural born citizen of the united states and 14 year resident requirements to be the US president, does it not seem more likely that the doctor was being sarcastic when he said she would be the US president?
