The Outland was over forty miles south of Christmas, separated by a trackless wilderness. It contained wild beasts and was dangerously cold.
Tiberius Gluck lived in the Outland for forty years in the hope of becoming rich by finding precious metal deposits, he had once discovered placer fragments where the ancient creeks used to run.
