The "melon man" was one of several people who owned a time slot in the same timeshare operated by Holiday Opportunity Promotions. When the Sixth Doctor paid for the same week for which Godfrey Richardson had paid, the people from several different time periods appeared in the timeshare. The "melon man", so named by Peri because he complained about having no melons, kept reliving the same moment until the Doctor fixed the situation. (PROSE: Timeshare)
