United Earth?
Are we sure "United Earth" is a united government at all? All I see in Smile is not "United Earth", but the "United Earth Colonisation Team", which may be a colonisation team associated with United Earth, or it may be a colonisation team for Earth which is united.

Someone on the show might just be a Marathon (Bungie) fan and lifted UESC (Unified Earth Space Council in that context) as in the colony ship UESC Marathon. Bad things happening on UESC colony ships would be true to form. Michaelk42 ☎ 05:55, April 27, 2017 (UTC)
