Angstrom Hive was a posthuman hive mind who was a potential candidate for Lord Mayor of the City of the Saved in AF 291. It had a million processor minds and covert bodies scattered across the City, including a web-footed cleaning-lady in Kempes District, a Homo habilis porter at Villa Ignota, a Romuline District legionary, and a pug-faced schoolboy native to the Watchtower.
