Sir John Arundell was the architect behind Pengriffen Manor, built in 1571. According to Sir Archibald, his gabled facade was the earliest of its kind in the country.

This house was eventually gifted to Sir Archibald Flint's family by Charles II in the 17th century, in recognition of their support during the civil war. Before breaking one of the stained glass windows in 2000, Evelyn Smythe quietly asked for forgiveness from Sir John Arundell for destroying some of his work. (AUDIO: The Spectre of Lanyon Moor)
