Mark Griffin played Phil in the Doctor Who television story The Impossible Astronaut.

Between 1992 and 1996 he portrayed "Trojan" in five series the ITV Saturday night entertainment show "Gladiators". He has since gone on to a successful acting career mainly as soldiers and tough guys.
