Golden-Eyed Prince
The Golden-Eyed Prince was an ancient Vulpanan prince who lived during the time of the Coyote Wars. He and his partner, Duchess Ironfang, became acquainted with the Doctor when he visited the planet Vulpana and helped to end the Coyote Wars. The Doctor attended Ironfang and the Golden-Eyed Prince's coronation and considered the pair a lovely couple.
Eventually the people of Vulpana forgot the true history of both the Golden-Eyed Prince and the events he took part in, believing them to be myths. This included Mags, a Vulpanan companion of the Seventh Doctor, who only realized the Golden-Eyed Prince actually existed when he claimed to have made a supply run during the Siege of Coyote Rock. Mags sarcastically suggested he also spent time with Duchess Ironfang and the Golden-Eyed Prince, to which the Doctor responded by telling her they were a lovely couple.
