Colin Brake (b. 1962) is a writer of many Doctor Who novels, audio stories, and short stories.

He attempted to become the script editor for Doctor Who after Andrew Cartmel, however, this fell through due to doctor Who being axed in 1989.

Brake has two children - Cefn and Kassia - and is married to a woman named Kerry. During the period that The Price of Paradise was released he owned two Cornish Rex cats
