After telling the Eighth Doctor that his extraterrestrial clients sometimes broke into impressions of Del Boy and Rodney, Todd Hulbert offered him a coffee; the Doctor responded "Lovely jubbly". (AUDIO: Human Resources)

While telling the Tenth Doctor that he'd sold the TARDIS, a stallholder in Pompeii commented "I got fifteen sesterces for it. Lovely jubbly". (TV: The Fires of Pompeii)

Behind the scenes

  • Although not mentioned in the DWU, "lovely jubbly" was popularised by Del Boy in Only Fools and Horses.
  • It originally evolved from "Lubbly Jubbly" - an advertising slogan used by Jubbly drinks.
