In 1987, whilst "Never Gonna Give You Up" was playing, Rose Tyler said that Pete Tyler was a sort of Del Boy; he didn't take it as a compliment. (TV: Father's Day) Jackie Tyler later compared her four-year-old son, Tony Tyler to Del Boy when he created a business plan in his bedroom. (AUDIO: The Siege of Big Ben)

Todd Hulbert told the Eighth Doctor that he didn't expect his extraterrestrial clients "to know the first thing about Earth", but found that half had picked up TV in deep space and would break into impressions of Del Boy and Rodney at the slightest provocation". (AUDIO: Human Resources)

The character is from the later mentioned Only Fools and Horses but the connection was never made in the DWU. He was played by David Jason.

Shaun Dingwall, who played Pete, would later go on to portray Del Boy's father, Reg Trotter, in the prequel series Rock & Chips. In this series, the younger Del was played by James Buckley.
