Laser pistol
Laser pistols, also stylised as Laser Pistols, (GAME: The Legions of Death [+]Loading...["The Legions of Death (game)"]) were weapons used by space-faring species.
Laser pistols used by the Meeps. They had no stun settings, but the pistols could be made to discharge constantly and harmlessly, making them less powerful over time. (AUDIO: The Ratings War)
During his time trying to create a technologically-advanced Roman army under his own control in 43 AD Britain, the War Chief designed a new type of laser pistol, whose name was sometimes capitalised as Laser Pistols. A type of laser weapons, these pistols were of "a more compact design than most laser pistols". They were equipped with a "self-contained power pack" which would power ten shots before it became exhausted. The War Chief kept one on his person at all times. Mikhyl Nevenskoi, a 22nd century human who may have been involved in the foiling of the War Chief's scheme, was also skilled in the use of a laser pistol, as well as a laser rifle. (GAME: "Player Characters" [+]Part of The Legions of Death, Loading...{"namedpart":"Player Characters","1":"The Legions of Death (game)"}) One possibility for the outcome of the adventure saw Mikhyl holding his pistol and attempting to shoot at the War Chief just before the latter escaped back into his TARDIS, having dodged a shot from a conventional gun by Roderick Mitchell. Laser pistols were also used by Earth Alliance forces during the Cyberon War, as well as blasters. Captain Tom Williams's personal side-arm was a laser pistol "augmented with pearl ivory grips for better stability". (AUDIO: Curse of the Cyberons)
