Boot

Boots were a sturdy item of footwear covering the foot and ankle, and sometimes also the lower leg.

The Eighth Doctor wore black ankle boots after his regeneration. (TV: Doctor Who) He also wore caramel brown boots under gingerbread leather gaiters, (COMIC: The Pictures of Josephine Day, A Matter of Life and Death, The Lost Dimension, Empire of the Wolf) up to his death during the Time War.
