Grace (theology)

After rejecting their biological ties to the Homeworld, the Celestis fell from grace. This made them "corrupt" in a fundamental metaphysical way that meant that they appeared somehow sickly even when they did their best to manifest in beautiful, angelic forms; despite their wish to pass for aloof gods, most of the universe readily perceived them as traitorous and demonic parasites. House Paradox was similarly said to have "fallen from grace" when it was banished from the Homeworld, becoming Faction Paradox. (PROSE: The Book of the War)
