Jimmy Stone
Jimmy Stone was an ex-boyfriend of Rose Tyler by 2005. When she brought up Jimmy to her current boyfriend, Mickey Smith, Rose seemed to pronounce Jimmy's surname as Stones. Biography
Rose was either fifteen (born on 27 April 1987) (PROSE: Meet Rose) or sixteen (born in early 1986), when she met Jimmy Stone. (PROSE: Rose) Regardless of her exact age, it was in September 2002 she met twenty year old Jimmy Stone, the bass guitartist in the band No Hot Ashes, which was local to the Powell Estate. He had a reputation of being the "Fittest Boy" on the estate, and Rose fell "head over heels" in love with him.
Rose dumped her current boyfriend, Mickey Smith, and dropped out of school and her A levels, and moved into a bedsit with Jimmy. Five months later, by February 2003, their relationship broke apart, Rose returned home, heartbroken, and £800 in debt. Meanwhile, Jimmy had travelled to Amsterdam with a woman named Noosh in a camper van. (PROSE: Meet Rose)
According to another account, they broke up after being together for a year, sometime in late 2003. When he left, Rose told him that "he'd come to no good one day", as he stole her secondhand computer which he stashed inside his car. (PROSE: Rose)
Fate
Rose later mentioned Jimmy Stones when discussing with Mickey (who was actually an Auton duplicate), mentioning that it was his fault she didn't do her A levels. She also seemed to know that Stones had ended up in a bad place. (TV: Rose)
Jimmy would serve eighteen months in prison, and when he got out,[1] all he could do was sell brushes from door to door. (PROSE: Meet Rose) On 5 March 2005, Jimmy was robbing his current girlfriend, Abena, during the Auton invasion, when he was killed by a group of Autons, who chopped him up into little pieces as he left Abena's house. Parallel universes

Behind the scenes
Surname
Whilst Billie Piper clearly says "Stones's" in Rose, both the script included in The Shooting Scripts and the broadcast and series 1 DVD subtitles, show Jimmy's surname to be "Stone". From this, it seems Piper's pronunciation was a blooper.
